Amalgam fillings are now commonly removed and replaced with tooth-colored composite resin fillings. Tooth-colored filling material are now more advance and stronger providing better aesthetics as well as being amalgam-free and metal-free.
Dental fillings even out tooth surfaces for better bite or chewing and fixes holes or chips in teeth.
There are two commonly types of fillings.
- Amalgam Silver Filings. Amalgam dental fillings are grey or silver colored fillings commonly used in the past.
